Connect Acrylic
Connect Acrylic earmoulds are custom-moulded shells designed to attach to your hearing aid, providing superior acoustic sealing and maximum comfort. They are especially suited for severe to profound hearing losses and offer a reliable, durable solution for sensitive or complex ear shapes.
Key Benefits
Hypo-allergenic acrylic material — The moulds are made from medically approved, light-curing acrylic that reduces risk of skin sensitivity or irritation.
Custom fit for comfort & retention — Because they are custom-moulded to your ear shape they should fit snugly — ideal if you have a non-standard ear shape or dexterity challenges.
Good for mild to moderate hearing loss — The earmoulds are designed to work well for those with mild-to-moderate hearing loss, delivering a suitable acoustic seal and sound delivery.
Easy to clean and maintain — The acrylic moulds can be cleaned easily, which helps with hygiene and long-term use.
High-quality finish & aesthetic/customisation options — The moulds are offered in a wide range of designs, styling and finish choices — giving both good craftsmanship and a more personalised, cosmetically appealing solution.
Reduced “occlusion effect” on your own voice — The deep, custom fit helps reduce distortion of your own voice, which can make wearing hearing aids more natural and comfortable.
Available Styles
Full Shell – fully fills the outer ear for maximum retention and acoustic sealing.
Half Shell – partially fills the ear for comfort while maintaining good retention.
Skeleton – lighter, open design that still provides a secure fit.
Half Phantom – partially open design for comfortable wearing with moderate retention.
Canal Tip – sits mainly in the ear canal for discreet fit and ease of insertion.

Connect Silicone
Connect Silicone earmoulds are custom-moulded shells designed for use with hearing aids, offering maximum comfort and superior acoustic sealing. They are especially suited for severe to profound hearing losses and provide a durable, reliable solution for sensitive or complex ear shapes.
Key Benefits
Superior acoustic sealing — good for severe hearing loss. The silicone moulds provide “optimum acoustic sealing properties,” making them particularly suitable if you have more severe to profound hearing loss.
Soft, comfortable and hypo-allergenic. The moulds are made from medically-graded silicone that is non-allergenic and reduces risk of skin sensitivity or irritation.
Flexible fit — adapts to ear canal and jaw movement. The softness and flexibility of silicone help maintain a comfortable, secure fit even as your jaw moves (e.g. when talking or chewing), which can improve comfort and retention over time.
Durable and easy to maintain. The silicone is durable, and the moulds are easy to clean (e.g. with wipes or spray) — helping with hygiene and long-term use.
Reduced occlusion / more natural own voice perception. The custom-fit silicone plugs are designed so the deep, snug fit reduces distortion of your own voice, making wearing hearing aids more natural.
Available Styles
Full Shell – fills the outer ear completely for maximum retention and acoustic sealing.
Half Shell – partially fills the ear for a balance of comfort and stability.
Carved Shell – customised to the ear’s contours for a precise fit and secure retention.
Deluxe Sculptured Skeleton – lighter, open design for comfort while maintaining a stable, secure fit.
Acrylic vs Silicone - Which to choose?
The Connect Acrylic earmould is made from a firm, hard material that holds its shape. This makes it easy to insert and easy to clean. Acrylic moulds are often a good choice for people with mild to moderate hearing loss because they don’t need a very tight seal to work well. They usually give a clear, natural sound and don’t affect the way your own voice sounds as much as softer materials can. They’re also durable and can come in many stylish finishes. However, because acrylic is rigid, it may be less comfortable for people with sensitive ears, and it doesn’t flex as the jaw moves, so if your ear canal changes shape when you talk or chew, the fit may shift slightly. They can also feel firm if you prefer something softer against the skin.
The Connect Silicone earmould is soft, flexible and very gentle on the ear. This makes it particularly comfortable for long wear, great for people with sensitive skin, children, or anyone who struggles with harder materials. Silicone naturally creates a tighter seal inside the ear, which helps prevent sound leakage and whistling, making it better suited for moderate to severe hearing loss where stronger amplification is needed. It tends to stay in place even when the jaw moves, making it feel secure and reducing the chance of gaps or discomfort. The softness also makes it safer for irregular or sensitive ear shapes. On the downside, silicone can be slightly harder to insert at first because it grips the skin, and it can collect wax more easily if not cleaned regularly.
In short, acrylic is ideal if you want something firm, easy to handle, simple to clean, and best for lighter hearing needs. Silicone is ideal if you want maximum comfort, a snug flexible seal, and stronger support for more significant hearing loss. Both are high-quality options, it simply depends on your comfort preferences and your level of hearing support.
